A superb William IV period sofa table, having a flame mahogany top with elaborate curl to the grain and drop flaps to the ends, two cock beaded drawers with cedar linings to the front and two dummy drawers to the rear, raised on a turned centre column with profuse and elaborate carved decoration, on a concave sided platform base with carved ‘lion’s paw’ feet.

Condition and Details of Restoration:
This table is in original untouched structural condition and completely sound. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are old marks underneath the polish as might be expected on an example of this age; we feel the photographs are representative.
