MAHOGANY & LEATHER UPHOLSTERED ‘HORSESHOE’ DESK or LIBRARY CHAIR – A9213

A handsome, generously proportioned,  and superb quality mid-19th Century period mahogany and leather upholstered  gentleman’s desk or library chair, having a ‘horseshoe’ shaped button upholstered back, above a plain bar splat flanked by uprights with carved bracket spandrels, and raised on turned front and swept rear legs with original brass castors.

Condition and Details of Restoration:
This chair is in original and completely sound structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. It maintains its original horsehair and sprung upholstery. The leather cover is aged (though unlikely to be original) and bears the attractive signs of use, but absolutely no rips or tears.
