A handsome and fine quality William IV period ‘boat’ shaped Canterbury. Originally designed for storage of sheet music, these are most often used as a magazine rack in present times. This example features three dividers to the top, the central one having a carrying handle, and turned uprights and finials to each corner. Below this is a single drawer with turned knob handles, raised on pretty turned legs with original brass cup castors.

Condition & Details of Restoration:
This Canterbury is in excellent and sound structural condition. The polish has been re-finished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some old marks underneath the polish, but all extremely minor.
