A handsome, impressive, and super quality late Victorian display cabinet, in mahogany, by repute formerly of the British Museum. The two display areas to either side are accessed by two lockable twin pane lids hinged at the apex. The cabinet still bears its original gilded numerals to either side, and is raised on square tapering legs.

Circa 1890.

Width 72″ (183cm) Depth 45″ (114cm) Height 41″ (104cm)

Condition and Details of Restoration:
This item is in absolutely original condition and is completely sound. The polish is original and has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are minor old marks underneath the polish, which is attractively slightly faded in places. The cabinet has its original locks with later keys. The lining to the interior is somewhat scruffy and the cabinet would benefit from it being replaced; we would be happy to advise regarding this matter.
