SOLD

A delightful and superb quality pair of Regency period carved rosewood occasional or wine tables with wonderfully detailed embroidered silk work and glazed circular tops, raised on beautifully carved turned tapering stems with central tulip and lobed collar, on concave sided platform bases with turned feet.

Circa 1820.

Diameter 14” (36cm) Height 19″ (49cm)

£795

Condition and Details of Restoration:
These tables would originally have been formed as pole screens, the screens now laid flat on the bases to form the table tops. The polish has been revived by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. Naturally, the embroidery shows some signs of wear and fading, but for its age is in excellent condition.
