Condition and Details of Restoration:
This item is in sound structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are minor old marks underneath the polish; we feel the photographs are representative. There would originally have been a sixth shelf, which is missing; should the purchaser require we could have a replacement made. The shelves are adjustable for height, but be aware that due to wear the bearers fit more solidly in some positions than others. There is a small hole in the back panel at the very bottom left (see detail photo), presumably made to allow access for an electrical cable.
