Condition and Details of Restoration:
This chest is in sound original untouched structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are old marks commensurate with age; in our opinion the photographs are representative. The brass handles are aged and show some pitting (black marks). There is some damage to the backplate of the lower left hand handle (see detail photograph).
