Condition and Details of Restoration:

This item is in sound structural condition. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. It retains its original colour and patina. There are some minor marks, scuffs, and fading; in our opinion the photos are representative. One of the rails and gates has been replaced in oak. The original ones on the other side show some historical evidence of woodworm. This is long dead and has not affected the structural integrity, but we have treated the area again as a precaution. Please refer to detail photographs of the underside.
