George II Style Small Burr Walnut Bureau – PJ1101

A pretty and fine quality George II style bureau with beautifully figured burr walnut veneers and cross banding to the top, fall, and drawer fronts, unusually having a candle slide to each end, the fall opening to reveal a stepped fitted interior of pigeonholes, above an arrangement of two graduated oak lined drawers with pierced backplate brass handles, and raised on cabriole legs with shell carved knees and pad feet.

Condition and Details of Restoration:
This bureau is in original condition, and is structurally completely sound. The polish has been revived by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some minor old marks underneath the polish; in our opinion, the photographs are representative.
