A quite delightful and most unusual alabaster small cabinet with fall-front door and industrial style brass supports raised on white china castors. Almost certainly French, it was most likely used as a bedside cabinet originally, but would work equally in a hallway or even bathroom (as there is no wood to be troubled by moisture). Our surmise is that this cabinet may possibly have originally been used in a sanatorium or some such establishment.

Circa 1880.
