Condition and Details of Restoration:
This item is in untouched original condition, and has all the characterful old marks that might be expected on a piece of this age. It is structurally sound. The handles are early 19th century replacements; the key and the locks have also been replaced at some point. Some of the blocks to secure the feet (not visible in normal use) have also been replaced, as is generally case on bracket feet of this age.
